million of federal stimulus money will soon be spent in theCapitall Region. Gov. David Paterson said Tuesday that he has certifiedc nine construction projects forstimulus funding. The projectas are: • $7.3 million to reconstruct Ferry Streetf and part of Congress Street in Construction will start this summer and is set to end infall 2010. $3 million to resurface three sections of Washington Avenuein Albany. No time framde for constructionwas announced. • $2.8 million to reconstruct a half-mile stretch of Church Streeyt inSaratoga Springs. Construction will starrt this summer and end a yearfrom now. • $1.8 milliobn to resurface Van Vranken Avenuwe in the cityof Schenectady.
