The NHL’s June 22 courtf filing also says Canadian billionaire Jim Balsillie can buy the Coyoteas if he agrees to keep them in Balsillie put forwarda $213 million offer to buy the Coyotes, but wants to move them to Ontario.
The move is oppose d by the NHL, but supported by team owner Jerry Baum shot down the Research inMotion CEO’es initial bid to buy the Coyotes becauswe of its June 29 deadline. The NHL has identified four possible ownership groups to keep the teamin Arizona: Howarxd Sokolowski and David owners of the Canadiam Football League’s Toronto Argonauts; Chicago Whitw Sox and Chicago Bulls owner Jerryt Reinsdorf; Coyotes minority owner John and an unnamed Phoenix-area business executive.
